Dont Cry For Me Argentina

On Monday my second solo adventure was to Plaza de Mayo. This is the location of La Casa de Rosada where parts of Evita was filmed! Ive always had this little fascination by this house, I dont know why, but ever since I arrived I wanted to go there. Maybe it was the memories of the last time I was there in 2000, with the family, and we had such funny times feeding the pigeons. Putting pigeon food everywhere to try get as many pigeons on us as possible. We have a funny picture at home of Luke with Pigeon food on his head and a pigeon sitting on his head. So on Monday i decided to relive my find memories and fed the pigeons! itwas great fun! So fun.. I did it twice!! i was lik a little child there laughing at the amount of pigeons landing on me and where they were landing. I had one on my shoulder, one on my bag, three on my arms fighting eachother and about 50 at my feet. It was really fun.

Aswell as that... I did go to the museum of La Casa de Rosada, which was really interesting. Arriving I felt like a criminal as I had to walk through metal detectors and show ID and then put my bag in a locker...next I was expecting them to whip out a set of handcuffs and charge me for being a tourist! I can see the headlines now "18 year Old Irish girl life improsinment for having an interest in Argentinian society"....

It was a really intersting museum, with sashes that belong to presidents and the reason behind the star on the irish flag-cant remember why it is anymore!!- and items that belonged to certain presidents etc etc. It was a small museum-just right for me. I left restoring my Identity and the rest of my bloggings and set off to look around the rest of the surroundings. It was a gorgeous sunny day and after some more picture taking I sat and did some more observing after which I went and did some shopping. Yes yes, I always have time for shopping! I got the Subte home, for the first time on my own, and finished off my fabulous trip with some delicious ice cream! Oh it is so good here!!!
