My Dad used to give his classes-I dont know if he stil does- an assignment in which they had to go to a place they do not know and sit there for an hour and observe. On satruday I did just that. It was a gorgeous morning, and i left the house with my ipod and went for a walk in the nearby park. I went with Valentina for a awhile and then we went somewhere else and I returned alone. The park was breautiful, along with the day. No clouds in the sky and it was sun sun sun. The park had a little pond where I sat with my Ipod listening to Amy McDonald soaking up the sun. A day like this day had been rare since my arrival in Argentina and so many people were out soaking up the sun. To the left of me there was a little green with people of all shapes and sizes who were sitting in bikinis shorts or whatever-they were all wearing clothes though thank goodness- soaking up the sun. To my right there was a man sitting on the bench with his pedometer doing stretches. Across the pond there was a group of teenagers- all wearing black clothes and jeans- sitting messing around skating having a laugh with there big bottles of coke. Surrounding the bond there was various for buying drinks or food. Almost everybody was doing something different. Families strolling around, kids on their bikes and toddlers on tricycles or little push bikes. Women walking around with their MP3s in their sports gear. couples giggling together on the benches. It was all a lovely site.

As i reached home the sun disappeared and the clouds came. It rained for the rest of the afternoon. But the sunset that night was the most beautiful thing. The rain had stopped the clouds were fading and the colours were beautiful! That night i experienced my first proper night out in Buenos Aires, with Carla And Valentina. We went to this night club called "Liquid" and danced the nnight away-literally. We arrived at the club at around 1 and got in at about quarter to 2. The music was so fun and dancing had so much fun with their friends. We left at about half 5 and got the bus home after awhile. Carla then had 2 of her friends for breakfast and at 8.30 I crawled into bed. Exhausted. But it was worth it.I think il get used to it!!

Lovely description of your time observing, so important. It seems that young people are going out even later than when I used to! though I would have come home sometimes that late as well.
